Her enemy showed her a weakness that she could not let pass, and the Young Lioness jumped ragely at him, looking to strike a decisive blow.

Ferociously she lunged at the creature's unprotected throat. Her teeth sunk deeply into its flesh tearing and rending with all of her might. The hyena yelled out in fury and anger, trashing about to dislodge the interloper. She could feel its pulse quickening by the strength of its blood beating harder into her jaws. Its spear ignored and rendered useless the beast had to resort to more natural means of combat.

It would have been simple to drive it's claws in the face of the lion, inflicting grievous and possibly deadly wounds. But instead, the lion that now knew how it felt to be strangled, was about to learn how it felt to be punched. Repeatedly. Brutally. In the face.

The Chrinos slammed its fist between her eyes twice with all of its considerable strength. At the second hit, she could hold on no longer. Her vision was blurry and she felt dizzy. But, her foe had been truly wounded, as she was barely able to see. The gashes spanned the higher back all the way to its breasts. Its jugular was gone, so was a good deal of its neck. It now lay on its knees, gasping for air but only succeeding to choke on its own blood.

As her senses returned to normal again, the lioness noticed that the cub was now nestled under her. Hidden between her anterior paws. To her right, she could see the other lioness being dragged away, dead or unconscious, but her two tormentors. Her foe lay dead or dying, unable to breathe. For now, she was ignored.

Actively dodged even. A few other Ajabas came about, looked at her and at their dead friend, but they did not engage her. They only looked about, pointed at her and let out a loud cry that spread across the battlefield.

In the melee, she could not see her mother, or the other male. But she could track her father by sound. He was still at the front of the fight. His roars were not roars of victory, intimidation or ferocity. They held a tint of indignation. He was angry and wild and mad. He was frenzied.

She grabbed the cub by the neck and started to run to the nearest big rock. There, she put the cub under it as much as possible, and lunged back into battle, again trying to help her father with his many adversaries.

She was able to reach her father now as the Ajabas were mostly ignoring her. Five of the Hyenas, all in Chrinos Form, were holding him down. One for each limb, and one held his head (mostly his jaws) firmly in place. Her father was strong, but even he could not break free from this. A few of them lay dead nearby.

Nearby, she could see that four dead lions had been brought aside, discarded. While four more were alive, but restrained or unconscious. Amongst those were the Other Male (unconscious), Her Mother (bound), the Lioness that had stood with her and he cub (unconscious), and another huntress (bound). Behind her, the battle was coming to a close. Whoever was left would be dead or captured within moments.

At her approach, two Ajabas stood to attention, placing themselves between her and her raging father.

She did not wait for them to get ready, and readily jumped between them, aiming to tackle one of the Ajabas that held her father, in an attempt to free him.

She was fast, but so were they. In the nick of time, she passed between the two. One did manage to touch, but he only managed to hold onto a pinch of fur. A stab of pain in her tail informed her that one of them had likely attacked but at this point a wounded, or even broken, tail barely mattered.

Her father's fury enhanced tenfold as he heard her daughter charging in his direction with two enemies hard on her heels. So much so that the one who was holding his jaws was far too preoccupied to pay her any mind. He was already precariously balances, and so had no chance to stay in place when the Young Lioness rammed into him. Even heavy as he was, his hulking form found itself projected three feet away where he landed on his ass. His expression belied just how insulted and shamed he was at this almost comical turn of events.

However, everything else was far from comical. Her Father's head was free which brought immediate terror to those who held his front paws. As red blood soon began to fly off in various direction and panicked Ajabas screamed she was distracted by a sharp sting on left hind leg quickly followed by an extreme and overpowering drowsiness. She only had seconds for one last act of defiance before slumber would take her.

She could not flee, she could only fight. As slumber began to take hold of her, she charged, one last time, in an attempt to help her father, to distract one of his opponent, so that he may use the distraction to rip his head off. She aimed at one of the Ajabas for only a split second, then charged.

Her four paws threatened to give way, they were weakening by the split-second. Her entire body was going numb, her coordination extremely difficult to maintain. The Hyena she was charging barely held on for dear life to her father's left paw.

The last thing she was aware of before slumber was the vague sensation of slamming into flesh, being splattered by something wet and the excruciating pain of the loudest noise she ever heard explode near her eardrums.

And then nothing.
